[Apply Here](https://www.solarlab-nl.org/vacancies) # Welcome to SolarLab SolarLab is the national network of the Dutch research groups at universities and institutes that work on Solar Photovoltaics. The mission of SolarLab is: - Demonstrate record-efficiency stable, sustainable solar cells - Form a powerful ecosystem with a strong voice for PV research in NL and abroad - Enhance PV collaboration in NL, share laboratories and coordinate funding streams SolarLab is part of the national solar innovation program [SolarNL](https://solarnl.eu). The SolarNL program capitalizes on the extensive knowledge that the Netherlands has to develop a new generation of solar cells and panels that will build a national solar industry and accelerates the energy transition. # Our Research The new solar products are made using fully circular production processes that generate limited CO2 emissions. The new solar energy systems can be invisibly integrated into the environment through aesthetic designs and have an energy conversion efficiency that is higher than existing technologies. To achieve this, high-quality research needs to be conducted into various aspects of solar panels and cells. For this purpose, we have divided the research within SolarLab into 3 themes: ## Solar Cell Design We work on new design principles for solar cells and solar cell manufacturing.
